Vancouver Island

Anderson Behavior Consulting is now offering services on Vancouver Island!

Our newest BCBA, Kathleen Hare (she/her), holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from St. Francis Xavier University and a Masters in Special Education from Arizona State University. She is excited and grateful to be living and based out of the Comox Valley, on K'ómoks First Nation territory, and to provide services to the surrounding area. As a northerner coming from Whitehorse, Yukon she is passionate about providing quality care to rural areas.

As a behaviour analyst, Kathleen is most interested in building environments that celebrate and support neurodiversity and providing values-based programs that support language, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy.

She is committed to listening to and learning from autistic and neurodivergent voices and collaborating with clients, caregivers and other professionals to provide a person-centered approach that is culturally aware, trauma-informed and grounded in compassionate care.

Kathleen continues to pursue further training and education in several areas of interest she is passionate about including:

  • trauma-informed care
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • neurodiversity-affirming programming
  • language-based programming (RFT, Verbal Behaviour)
